Work safely at heights on one of our boom lifts
Do you need a boom lift? Most of our boom lifts can be hired from any Boels branch. Some spider and truck-mounted boom lifts are only available from our specialist branches.
Working safely on a boom lift
Before you can work safely on a boom lift, you need to know how it works, how to operate it and how to minimise the risks. That is why we also provide training beforehand.
How can you choose the right boom lift?
We are also happy to help you select the most suitable equipment for the job. We do this by determining a number of factors together with you. For example:
- How high do you want to work?
- How many people should be able to work on the boom lift at the same time?
- Are you looking for an electric boom lift or a hybrid model?

Spider boom lifts or spider aerial work platforms
Thanks to their compact size and low weight, these machines are ideal for interior and exterior delicate jobs, such as car parks, churches and atriums.
Our spider boom lifts all have BI engine drives. This means that, in addition to 230 volts, there is also a combustion engine, so you will never come to a standstill.
The spider boom lifts have tracks that leave virtually no marks on the floor (non-marking).
Truck-mounted boom lifts
With us, you can choose telescopic and articulated truck-mounted boom lifts with operating heights up to 27 metres; a category B driving licence is required.
Truck-mounted boom lifts are well suited for short-term use or at locations where moving quickly is important. This is the case, for example, with pruning work and for the maintenance of neon advertising signs or public lighting.
When hiring an boom lift, also consider:
- Fall protection
- Traffic measures (e.g. traffic cones or safety barriers).
